This is a higher education facility that India's New Delhi considers to be a university. Government funding supports this university. It was publicly inaugurated on August 1, 1989, by Shri Rajiv Gandhi, the Indian Prime Minister at the time. It received the Institute of Eminence designation in 2019 from the Ministry of Human Resource Development.

Faculties of Jamia Hamdard

One of the oldest pharmacy schools in India is the School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, formerly known as the Faculty of Pharmacy. Through the National Institute Ranking Framework, the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, gave it the top spot in India for the years 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences are offered as undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs at the institution. The institute places a high priority on research, and many illustrious graduates work in the pharmaceutical sector in both India and other countries. In the NIRF rankings for Indian Pharmacy Colleges for the year 2022, the School maintained its top spot.
The Hamdard Institute of Legal Studies and Research offers an undergraduate BA.LLB (5-year integrated study).

Distance Education by Jamia Hamdard

In order to advance education through an open and distance learning system, Jamia Hamdard's School of Open and Distance Learning (SODL) was founded in 2004. Anyone, at any time, wherever, can "learn independently" because of its adaptable and cutting-edge educational approaches. Three online degree programs have been made available by Jamia Hamdard to students throughout India and the world. These are the three online courses:

BBA - A bachelor's degree in business administration (BBA). Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized board, institute, or university to be eligible. Timeframe: Six Semesters Admission Charge: 14,000 Rupees per Semester Exam Fee: 2000 rupees per semester.
BCA - A Computer application bachelor's degree Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized board, institution, or university to be eligible. Six-semester duration; Rs. 16,000 per semester for admission; Rs. 2000 for examination fees.
Bachelor of Commerce- (Honours) B.Com. Candidates seeking admission to the H. B. Com. The program's 10+2 test results must have been successful from a reputable board, institute, or university. A semester-long admission fee of Rs. 14,000 Exam Fee: 2000 rupees per semester.
